Dear Friends,
Scott and I are on vacation in May, but it is also a pilgrimage. We are traveling to Eng-land where we will visit the London sites of Methodism’s founder, John Wesley, then to Oxford where John and brother Charles met weekly with other Christians at their “Holy Club.” We will visit Iona, an isle off the west coast of Scotland, cradle of Celtic Christianity and visit Stonehenge, that mysterious monument to faiths of even longer ago.
Along the way, we are eager to meet the people of England and Scotland. And maybe catch a glimpse of King Charles on the parade route after his coronation? Who knows?
I look forward to returning refreshed and renewed and to share with you. We’ll be missing you while we’re gone, but as the song in the musical Oliver says, “got to go, but be back soon.”
